One month down…

It’s been a month since I started this crazy, tough, emotional, yet fulfilling journey to a new me. And while I have been posting weekly, going forward, I think I’ll start posting monthly about it. That said, I’m so excited to share my success this week.

First and foremost, I’m down another 3.4 pounds, bringing my four-week loss total to 12.5 pounds! I never thought I would lose that much so soon, but I’m doing it in the healthiest way, which makes me really excited by the results. I’ve had people ask me what I’ve been doing, and it’s simple – Weight Watchers (aka portion control) and becoming active. Over the next week I’ll be starting Metformin, which should also help with the insulin issues related to PCOS.

Aside from the weight loss, I’ve also found more energy and less mood swings – woo hoo. However, while I have more energy, I’m also finding I’m exhausted more often. Hopefully the Metformin will help with that too. Additionally, my focus has been all over the place, but I’m thinking that’s due to a manic episode, so I’m hoping it will pass soon.

I can’t wait to share my next update in a month, where I’ll be sure to talk about all the highs and lows associated with the new meds, staying on track with Weight Watchers and my gym excursions. Maybe this time next month I’ll finally have mastered the Elliptical….maybe…

Until next time!
