Perks of a PR student
This past Saturday night I had the privilege of attending the Induction Ceremony for Canada’s Walk of Fame where Louise Arbour, The Band, Jeff Healy, Rachel McAdams, Ryan Reynolds and Hayley Wickenheiser were bestowed their honours.
The inspirational evening was filled with stars, wonderful speeches and tears of pride from yours truly (no shame…it may be on TV).
But really, the night wouldn’t have been so amazing if it wasn’t for these wonderful women. I want to give a huge thank you to my program co-ordinator, Lynn, for sharing this opportunity for our class and to Marni, the program co-ordinator for Music Business Management program, for offering it to us!

The night wouldn’t have be complete without a little bit of fan-girlness happening when we saw Mr. Ryan Reynolds and Ms. Rachel McAdams being their fabulous selves.
In true Canadian fashion, these two superstars were incredibly polite and gave beautiful acceptance speeches where they focused on those who mean the world to them – their families.
As a Canadian, I was inspired by all of Saturday’s recipients and cannot wait to relive it all on December 19 when it airs on Global!
